Honey Boo Boo ‘not engaged’ to boyfriend Dralin Carswell despite diamond ring

Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and boyfriend Dralin Carswell sparked rumors they were engaged after the reality star was spotted wearing a diamond ring on that finger.

However, a rep for the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” alum told Page Six that Thompson is not engaged and that the sparkler is “just a ring.”

The 16-year-old’s new diamond ring was featured in a series of photos Page Six published Monday, in which Thompson’s sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, debuted her newborn twins.

In the pics, the “Dancing With the Stars: Juniors” alum was seemingly not trying to hide her big rock as she swept hair off her face with her left hand in one of the images.

She also showcased the ring while giving a smooch to one of the babies in another photo.

The Sun broke the news that Thompson and Carswell, 20, had been dating for six months in September 2021.

“Dralin and Alana are attached at the hip and hang out together all the time,” an insider told the outlet at the time. “He was quiet at first, but he’s like one of the family now. He’s just as fun and crazy as the rest of them.”

Thompson then made her relationship Instagram-official a few weeks later with photos of the pair picking pumpkins at a pumpkin patch.

In April, the “Mama June: From Not to Hot” alum proved she and the college student were still going strong during a laughter-filled outdoor stroll near her home in McIntyre, Ga.

The lovebirds seemed smitten at the time as they enjoyed each other’s company with big smiles plastered across their faces as paps snapped their pics.

Thompson’s mother, Mama June Shannon, shared in May that it had not been an easy road, however, for the young interracial couple.

“She is getting a lot of hate because she’s in an interracial relationship, he is older,” the “Mama June: Road to Redemption” star told TooFab. “At the end of the day, Alana’s not that 6-, 7-year-old child y’all fell in love with 11 years ago.”
