Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon’s son, Deacon, set to make acting debut
Deacon Phillippe — Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe’s 18-year-old son — is making his acting debut in Season 3 of Netflix’s “Never Have I Ever.”
The streamer has further detailed that the Hollywood offspring will guest star in several episodes throughout the season as a character named Parker.
The announcement of Deacon’s first official acting role comes weeks after his high school graduation, for which his celebrity parents reunited. He is now pursuing both acting and music careers.
Witherspoon, 46, and Phillippe, 47, remain friendly and co-parent their two children, Deacon and daughter Ava, 22, despite their divorce in 2006.
The “Cruel Intentions” co-stars have come together for their children on many occasions, also having celebrated Deacon’s 18th birthday together, with Phillippe sharing a family snap commemorating the day to social media.
“Happy 18th birthday to our gorgeous, smart, talented, and caring son. You are a true light in this world and are so loved by all who know you,” the “I Know What You Did Last Summer” actor wrote last October.
“We are lucky to be your mom and dad. Love you, pup..(I’d say we did pretty good @reesewitherspoon)”
Both Witherspoon and Phillippe have welcomed other children since their split, as the “Legally Blonde” actress has a 9-year-old daughter, Tennessee, with husband James Toth while the “Shooter” alum shares an 11-year-old daughter, Kai, with ex Alexis Knapp.
“Never Have I Ever,” which is about an Indian-American teenage girl as she navigates complicated love triangles and friendships, was created by Mindy Kaling and stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
