Katharine McPhee shows her and David Foster’s son Rennie’s musical ‘talents’

Katharine McPhee showed off her and David Foster’s son Rennie’s “talents” via Instagram Tuesday, proving the 1-year-old is already following in his parents’ footsteps.
The “American Idol” alum, 38, shared a video of the toddler banging away at a piano and babbling.
“I love these chunky thighs,” McPhee captioned the Story upload.
The “Country Comfort” star went on to post footage of the little one using drumsticks to hit an electric drum set.
“Already showing off my child’s talents,” she wrote, tagging Foster.
The couple, who married in June 2019, welcomed their baby boy in February 2021.
While Rennie is McPhee’s first, the composer, 72, is also the father of five daughters — Allison, 52, Amy, 49, Sara, 41, Erin, 39, and Jordan, 35 — from previous relationships.
In February, Foster joked to People that his baby boy could play “Mozart and Bach flawlessly.”
He added, “At 11 months … obviously, we don’t see any musical talent yet, but who knows?”
Five months later, McPhee called Rennie their “little drummer boy” in an Instagram video showcasing his skills on a mini set.
While she and Foster have primarily kept their son’s face hidden on social media, the “Smash” alum gave a glimpse of Rennie’s features in a June slideshow for Father’s Day.
“You’ve only made bringing Rennie into the world an absolute joy for me,” McPhee wrote to her husband at the time.
“[He] loves me like I could have only dreamed of & who made me complete in life by making me a mommy,” she continued. “I love our little family. I love our big family.”
