TikToker Gabbie Hanna: I was ‘detained’ by police during wellness check

TikTok star Gabbie Hanna claims she was “detained” by police Wednesday while they conducted a wellness check on her.

“So right before the cops busted in my back door — all on camera and documented, obviously — they came in and did a quick little search,” Hanna said in a TikTok video posted to her account Thursday night.

“I came down the stairs, [and] they wouldn’t tell me why I was being detained. They cuffed me and then they demanded that I drink water.”

Hanna, 31, claimed she told Los Angeles Police Department officers she “didn’t want any,” but they forced her to drink anyway while her hands were handcuffed behind her back.

“[After I took a sip], they said, ‘No, more water.’ So, I spilled a little on my chest, and [one of the officers] put his hand on his f—king hip as if he was going to shoot me,” she alleged.

“Why don’t you, the Los Angeles Police Department, tell America what is the definition of civics? What is it?” she continued. “Do you believe you’ve met your civic duty when you broke in, did an illegal search and cuffed me?”

A rep for the LAPD didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Police showed up to Hanna’s house after fans flooded the department with calls of concern after she posted 100 videos in one day. The influencer’s sister Cecilia Hanna also responded to the influx of worry, blasting fans for thinking it was their “business” about what was going on with Gabbie, who has disclosed her bipolar disorder diagnosis.

“This video was filmed and posted a full day before anything was happening or at least before we were aware. We are all in PA and she is in LA,” Cecilia wrote, according to a fan’s screenshot.

“we are doing what can be done from here. at the end of the day you are all strangers on the internet and it is none of your business regardless of level of concern.”
