Cameron Diaz allegedly told mag staffer ‘I hope you get cancer’: book

How Does it Feel” to be slammed in a memoir?

Rolling Stone founder Jann Wenner has seemingly dissed Cameron Diaz in his upcoming tome, “Like a Rolling Stone.”

Wenner, who also owned Us Weekly, writes in his book that in the mid-2000s, the celeb-heavy mag was part of the zeitgeist. He goes on to say that one of the magazine’s earliest scoops was a paparazzi photo of “an actress” smooching Justin Timberlake on a surfboard.

Although Wenner doesn’t specifically mention Diaz by name, his writing seems to imply he’s referring to the “Charlie’s Angels” actress, as she was famously photographed sharing a sweet kiss with Timberlake while the two vacationed in Hawaii in 2006. He describes the unnamed actress as “unpleasant to deal with,” claiming this person even told one of the magazine’s researchers at the time, “I hope you get cancer.”

Diaz, 50, and the “NSYNC” alum, 41, were a Hollywood A-list couple. They first met in 2003 at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards when the actress presented Timberlake with the “Best Burp” award.

The two hit it off and started dating, but eventually broke things off in early 2007.

Although the pair claimed the split was amicable, weeks later they made headlines when Diaz reportedly approached Timberlake – who was chatting with his now-wife, Jessica Biel – at a Golden Globes afterparty and had an intense conversation with him.

The “Cry Me a River” singer later referenced the evening in his 2018 memoir.

“Then the Golden Globes came up, and that’s when we planned on seeing each other,” he wrote in the book, referencing wanting to be with Biel.

“We were both still seeing other people, keeping ourselves safe from getting hurt, from really putting ourselves out there. It took a bit for both of us to admit to ourselves that we were really, really into each other.”

Wenner’s juicy memoir hits bookshelves on Sept. 13.

Timberlake married Biel in 2012 and share two children: sons Silas, 7, and Phineas, 2. Meanwhile, Diaz said “I do” to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden in 2015. The two welcomed a baby girl, Raddix, via surrogate in December 2019.

A rep for Diaz did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
