Julia Fox bares it all in ‘dripping wet’ outfit
Julia Fox had a mermaid moment at Tuesday’s Parsons MFA show during New York Fashion Week.
The “Uncut Gems” muse, 32, sat front row in a see-through acrylic bustier by one of the student designers, Weiran, made to look like a splash of water.
Fox paired the “dripping wet” top with a seafoam-colored, seemingly mermaid-inspired skirt, which had a matching clear handle to help the star hold up her train.
She finished the ensemble with wet-looking, slicked-back hair and shimmering silver eye makeup.
“What an honor to have icon @juliafox to attend my first ever show in this look!” Weiran raved on Instagram, sharing a photo of the look and thanking Fox’s stylist, Briana Andalore, “for the support and love always!”
Fox, who previously dated Kanye West, is not the only one of the 45-year-old rapper’s exes to rock an epic wet look.
In 2019, Kim Kardashian made headlines for attending the Met Gala in a custom Thierry Mugler dress designed to appear soaked.
“[Mugler] envisioned me as this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, 41, told Vogue at the time of her outfit, which was partly inspired by the wet shirt dress worn by Sophia Loren in the 1957 film “Boy on a Dolphin.”
Unlike her style twin Fox, Kardashian completed her seemingly soaked ensemble with a waist-snatching corset that made her middle so impossibly tiny, some people speculated she’s had ribs removed — rumors her personal trainer quickly shot down.
Still, if there are two women willing to suffer for a style statement, they’re Kardashian and Fox.
