Hailey Bieber reveals she has spoken to Selena Gomez since marrying Justin
Hailey Bieber revealed she has spoken to Selena Gomez since marrying Justin Bieber in September 2018.
“It’s all respect. It’s all love,” the model said in Wednesday’s episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast of her conversations with the “Only Murders in the Building” star.
When Hailey insisted there is “no drama personally” between her and Gomez, host Alexandra Cooper asked whether they have talked.
The former “Drop the Mic” co-host, 25, replied, “Yes,” noting that Gomez, 30, “doesn’t owe [her] anything.”
She explained, “Neither of us owe anybody anything except respect. I respect her a lot, and I think there are no expectations [between us]. I respect her.
“Everybody on our side knows what happened, and we’re good, and we can walk away from it with clarity and respect,” Hailey continued, referencing her and Justin, 28, getting engaged in July 2018, just months after his final breakup with Gomez.
“[That] has brought me a lot of peace,” she said. “We know what happened. It is what it is.”
Justin dated the actress on and off for eight years and was romantically linked to Hailey, Sofia Richie and more models during their separations.
In late 2017, the Grammy winner reconciled with Gomez for the final time. The duo called it quits by March of the following year.
By June 2018, Justin was back with Hailey. He got down on one knee during a Bahamas vacation that July.
Hailey clarified in Wednesday’s podcast episode that she never “stole” Justin from Gomez because that is not in her “character.”
She praised the “Baby” singer for “completely” closing his “chapter” with the former Disney Channel star before taking their relationship to the next level.
“I would never want to get into a relationship and get engaged and be married to them and think in the back of my mind, ‘I wonder if that was really, like, closed for you,'” Hailey explained.
The couple quietly wed at a courthouse in September 2018 and tied the knot again the following year in front of their loved ones.
Hailey gave rare insight into their sex life later in her “Call Her Daddy” interview, revealing that her go-to position is “doggy style.”
