Cory Hardrict denies cheating on Tia Mowry following divorce news
Cory Hardrict shut down rumors that he cheated on Tia Mowry after she filed for divorce on Tuesday.
The “All American: Homecoming” actor, 42, said the speculations were “lies” after one of his followers claimed “he cheated on” Mowry, 44, in his most recent Instagram post.
Many others seemed to believe that he had “fumbled” on his wife because she had been the one to file for divorce.
Despite the speculations, hundreds of other fans flooded Hardrict’s post — which promoted his new show and had nothing to do with his separation — with messages encouraging them to get back together.
“Cory go get your wife. ❤️,” one person commented.
“Hoping you did everything in your power to try to make it work. Then you can live with no regrets. You have a beautiful wife and children. It takes two to make a relationship work,” another fan wrote.
“Y’all better fix this💔🥺,” someone else chimed in.
The “Sister, Sister” alum announced that she and Hardrict were going their separate ways after 14 years of marriage via Instagram on Tuesday.
“These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness,” she captioned a throwback black-and-white photo of them.
“I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”
Mowry emphasized that the exes will “maintain a friendship” to best co-parent their two children: 11-year-old son Cree and 4-year-old daughter Cairo.
Hours before her announcement, the “Twitches” actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles and cited irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. She also requested joint custody and acknowledged they signed a prenup.
The former couple met as undergrads at Los Angeles’ Pepperdine University and were friends for a year before dating and eventually tying the knot in 2008.
