Yolanda Hadid believes her two-year-old granddaughter is her mother reincarnated.
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum told ET in an article published on Tuesday that Khai — whose parents are Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik — shares a lot of characteristics with her late mother, Ans van den Herik.
“I feel like my mom came back in this little miniature, incredible little human being,” Yolanda, 58, described. “She does things and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, that’s my mom.'”
Khai — who was born in September 2020 — never got to meet her great-grandmother, who died in October 2019 at age 78.
Yolanda further gushed about her first granddaughter, sharing that the toddler “loves everything.”
“Nature, horses, the little ants, she’s careful with everything. She’s just the joy of my life and actually the whole family.”

The “Believe Me: My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease” author also discussed her transition into the role of “Oma” — the Dutch word for grandmother — and called it “the most incredible time of life.”
“And, like, yes, in America, I think grandma has a little bit of an old people connotation to it. But, you know, in Holland the oma thing, it’s fresh, it’s great.”
“I’m 58, I think, ‘Thank God we had this baby now, she’s our greatest blessing.’ And I’m just so joyful every day if I get to see her. It’s incredible.”

Over the summer, Yolanda opened up about her battle with Lyme Disease and how it has affected her entire family.
“After the loss of my mother i really struggled with depression followed by a lyme relapse…. the emotional stress and grief strongly effected [sic] my immune system,” the star wrote.

“My phone addiction didn’t help either, it started to take so much time away from being present in my life … I realized that we are slowly starting to lose the art of communication and its creating a deep loneliness within us.”
However, Yolanda isn’t alone in her fight as her two youngest kids, Bella and Anwar, also battle with the debilitating disease.
