Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill are divorcing after 2 years of marriage

Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill have called it quits — shortly before they were supposed to celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

The now-former couple mutually came to the decision to part ways after realizing they were growing apart, they said in a joint statement shared on their respective social media channels on Wednesday.

“LOVE is a beautiful thing. While we both will always have love for one another, we have decided to go our separate ways,” they shared. “We are grateful that we remain good friends, and will always cherish the many memories we’ve shared together as husband and wife.

“Many of you have been on this journey with us from the very beginning, and we appreciate our family, friends and beloved fans for your positive support as we move forward and start new chapters. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!”

The news comes after fans noticed the former model had changed her last name in her Instagram bio, as well as most of their pictures together. However, in her most recent Instagram photos, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star wore her 5-carat wedding ring.

The couple first met in 2018 while on Steve Harvey’s talk show and their romance blossomed in front of the Bravo cameras. They went on to tie the knot two years later during a lavish ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia.

Despite aspiring to have the perfect marriage which started with getting married on Oct. 10, 2020, Hill and Bailey have certainly been through some ups and downs.

In November 2021, an anonymous Twitter user claimed Hill had sent her flirtatious messages and a picture of his penis via Snapchat.

However, the couple vehemently denied the allegations with the reality star, 55, calling them “annoying” and Hill, 52, threatening to take legal action.

Just two months before the scandal, Bailey left the hit Bravo series after 11 seasons in order to “protect” her marriage.

“After going through my divorce with my ex [Peter Thomas], I’m very protective of my second marriage because, you know, I really want it to work, and I want to do everything that I can to protect it and to protect Mike,” she told Page Six exclusively at the time.

Bailey — who shares daughter Noelle with ex Leon Robinson — was previously married to Peter Thomas from 2010 to 2017. The demise of their relationship was broadcast on the show.
