Concertgoers erupted into boos after Jason Aldean mentioned Maren Morris’ name at his show in Nashville on Friday.

Amid Morris’ feud with the country star’s wife, Brittany Aldean, Jason name-dropped the “Circles Around This Town” singer while performing at the Bridgestone Arena.

“I thought, ‘Man, who could I call? I got some friends in town,’” Jason, 45, reportedly told the crowd, after revealing he had a special guest coming out to perform with him (via Twitter).

“I could call Luke Bryan. I could call Kane Brown,” he added. “See if Kenny Chesney’s here and not at the beach.”

With each name, the audience cheered, but they had a different reaction when Jason jokingly threw out Morris’ name. Fans proceeded to boo at the idea of the “Chasing After You” singer joining him on stage.

Jason pretended to look confused at the negative reaction before calling Morgan Wallen on to the stage to perform “Whiskey Glasses” and “You Make it Easy” together.

Morris’ feud with Jason and Brittany erupted in August when the “Bones” songstress slammed the beauty blogger as being transphobic.

“I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase. I love this girly life,” Brittany wrote in an Instagram post in August, alongside a makeup tutorial video.

Jason then commented on the post, “Lmao!! I’m glad they didn’t too, cause you and I wouldn’t have worked out 😂.”

Morris clearly didn’t find humor in the couple’s interaction, and felt their words could be harmful to the LGBTQIA+ community. She responded by dragging Brittany, saying, “[It’s] so easy to, like, not be a scumbag human,” and that Brittany should “sell your clip-ins and zip it, Insurrection Barbie.”

Brittany has since defended her words, responding to Morris, “Karen Morris. Thanks for calling me Barbie.” The influencer pushed that her words were taken out of context.

While Brittany and her husband have put on a united front, Morris has doubled down and criticized the comments, saying, “It’s not like we’re talking about what your favorite color is. We’re talking about people’s lives. … It’s really sensitive.”

Amid the backlash, Jason was dropped by his PR firm of 17 years after backing his wife’s controversial comments. He has not publicly addressed the situation further.
