Johnny Depp no longer dating lawyer Joelle Rich: report
Johnny Depp is reportedly no longer dating Joelle Rich, an attorney who represented him in his libel trial against The Sun in 2018.
A source confirmed to People on Friday that the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star, 59, and the London-based lawyer, 37, called it quits.
A reason for the reported split was not given.
Depp’s rep did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
However, the pair were reportedly never that serious to begin with.
An insider previously told TMZ that Depp and Rich were romantically linked but not exclusive.
Still, the “Edward Scissorhands” star and attractive attorney managed to keep their casual fling secret for some time before their relationship was confirmed to the public.
Rich shockingly attended Depp’s victorious defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard in Virginia over the summer — seemingly hiding in plain sight.
She was not one of the lawyers on the case, but was reportedly just there to support Depp.
After news of their romance broke, photos surfaced of the then-couple sharing glances and smiles to each other from inside the courtroom.
It’s possible that Depp and Rich were able to fly under the radar because fans of the movie star were smitten over rumors that he was dating his defamation trial attorney Camille Vasquez.
However, Vazquez, 38, quickly shut that speculation down, calling the claims “sexist” and “unethical.”
Not much is known about Depp’s romance with Rich, but a source previously told Page Six that the attorney was still married while she was seeing the “Cry Baby” star but going through a separation.
