‘BiP’ alums Serena Pitt, Joe Amabile laugh off rumors they had ‘shotgun wedding’
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile are not surprised that “Bachelor in Paradise” fans thought their October nuptials were a “shotgun wedding.”
The newlyweds addressed pregnancy rumors in a YouTube Q&A video Thursday.
“I’m not [pregnant],” Amabile, 36, jokingly responded when the question came up.
“I’m not either,” Pitt, 25, chimed in, with Amabile replying, “Nice.”
She then noted, “We’re both sitting here [with coffee]. I don’t think you can drink coffee when you’re pregnant, can you?”
After Amabile replied that you “can’t drink alcohol,” the “Bachelor” alum acknowledged that “a lot of” their followers thought she was expecting their first baby.
“I guess [that] makes sense,” Pitt said. “People are wondering if we had a shotgun wedding because I’m pregnant, but I’m not pregnant.”

Pitt and the “Bachelorette” alum went on to discuss their upcoming wedding, which is still planned for September 2023 despite their Oct. 27 courthouse ceremony.
“It’s not gonna be in Chicago or New York,” she said of the “destination” wedding, noting that they have “narrowed down” their location options to South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee.

The publicist revealed that her sister will be her maid of honor next year, while Amabile’s brother is set to be his best man.
The couple met and fell in love on Season 7 of “Bachelor in Paradise,” getting engaged on the show in October 2021.
When the duo tied the knot last month, they gave an inside look at their low-key ceremony.
“JUST MARRIED!” the former reality stars captioned a joint Instagram post. “We are still having a wedding this September but who doesn’t want to get married twice!”
The pair told their YouTube subscribers that they don’t feel “different” since the milestone moment.
“Because we were already committed to each other for life, the marriage didn’t change that so our relationship doesn’t feel any different,” Pitt explained. “I feel the same level of commitment now.”
