Chris Pratt stung in the eye after trying to ‘control bees’

He should stick to wrangling dinosaurs.

Chris Pratt revealed on Instagram Thursday that he was stung in the eye by a bee after being inspired by a beekeeper on social media.

“So I’ve been following this bee lady on Instagram, she’s so cool and brave and she goes in front of these hives of bees and says, ‘They’re very calm today. I’m going to remove the bee, I’m going to use my bare hands to sift through the bees and look for the queen,'” the “Jurassic World” star said in the video while wearing a pair of sunglasses.

“So it’s built up this false sense of security in me to where I said, ‘I think I can control bees, too,'” the 43-year-old continued.

In fact, the “Guardians of the Galaxy” star said he “saw a beehive” on Tuesday and decided it was his time to shine.

“I went towards it and the man standing next to me said, ‘Be careful, there’s bees,’ and I said, ‘These bees look very calm,'” he joked.

“And I just stared at these bees and then one of the came out and stung me in the eyeball,” Pratt said while taking off the glasses to reveal his swollen eye. “So, anyways, f—k that bee lady.”

Pratt — who sparked controversy for his role as Mario in the upcoming “Super Mario Bros” film — tagged the Texas beekeeper, Erika Thompson, who “inspired” him in the caption.

Thompson later joined in on the fun, telling Pratt to keep his day job.

“Wait—so now you’re going to be a plumber and a beekeeper @prattprattpratt?!” she commented. “If you leave saving the bees to me and other professionals, you can focus on saving the Princess, Mario.”

Other Hollywood stars also flocked to Pratt’s comment section to wish him well and poke fun at his latest look.

“Which eye?” joked Sean Hayes, while brother-in-law Patrick Schwarzenegger simply added, “LMAO.”

“I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing, I’m not laughing… I’M LAUGHING 😂😂,” Jason Kennedy chimed in.

This isn’t the first time the Marvel actor has miscalculated his capabilities.

Back in June, the actor revealed things got a little messy after he tried to bury himself alive for a prank while filming “The Terminal List.”

“I s–t my pants — that’s how committed I was,” Pratt said on an episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

The actor explained that he thought it would be funny to pretend to be stuck in the dirt but things took a turn for the worse when he discovered he “actually couldn’t move” — hence the accident.
