Jessica Simpson’s husband Eric ‘knew’ about her movie star hookup: report
Jessica Simpson’s husband, Eric Johnson, allegedly “knew previously” that she once hooked up with an off-the-market “massive movie star.”
“Jessica has been opening up about really everything,” a source told Us Weekly in a story published Friday. “She still had some secrets and she wanted to get them off her chest.”
The former NFL player, 43 – who wed Simpson in 2014 and shares three children with her – has not publicly addressed the revelations.
Simpson, 42, made headlines earlier this month when she claimed she had her “teenage fantasy” turn into a reality in her “short and true story” titled, “Movie Star: They Always Say They’re Single.”
The “With You” singer went into detail about the “sexy” yet “demanding” mystery romance.
Simpson explained that she was on a break from Nick Lachey when the “hot” unnamed A-lister “eyed [her] up and down” at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
“He was undressing me with his eyes,” Simpson wrote.
The “Open Book” author got the celeb’s number, but she ultimately rekindled her romance and wed the 98 Degrees member in 2002. But when the power couple divorced in 2006, Simpson decided to try her luck again.
Simpson and the movie star shared a smooch at the Beverly Hills Hotel later that year that left her with a “warm rush all the way down my body.”
Unfortunately for the newly divorced Simpson, the mystery man had a girlfriend at the time – despite him allegedly telling her the relationship was “completely over.”
The two continued seeing each other in nightclubs, a friend’s house and a movie set, but the casual interactions made Simpson feel “like a call girl” who was there “to have sex” with him. The fashion designer even wrote about one interaction where he had to “hide me from his chick” at a hotel.
“I didn’t care if he was my teenage fantasy come to life, this was not a choice that same girl, my younger self, would be proud of,” she concluded.
The “Dukes of Hazzard” actress has not revealed who the mystery movie star was, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating several theories.
