Prince George’s role at King Charles’ coronation revealed
By George, he’s got a starring role!
Buckingham Palace announced that Prince George, 9, will be one of the King’s Pages of Honor at the upcoming coronation of King Charles, 74, and Queen Camilla, 75.
“Throughout the Coronation Service on 6th May, Their Majesties will each be attended by four Pages of Honor. The Pages will form part of the procession through the Nave of Westminster Abbey,” the Palace said in a release.
Joining George will be Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, whose parents are close friends of the King and Prince William.
The other two are Master Ralph Tollemache, 12, son of the King’s godson Edward Tollemache and Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, whose father is King Charles’ Lord-in-Waiting.
Another four boys will be acting as Pages for Queen Camilla and they are entirely made up of family members.
Camilla’s daughter Laura Lopes’ twins, Gus and Louis Lopes, 12, are slated to take part, as well as Master Freddy Parker-Bowles, her son Tom Parker-Bowles’ son.
They aren’t the only youngsters from the new Queen’s family to have a starring role.
Master Arthur Elliot, 11, will be taking part in the solemn ceremony.
Elliot’s grandmother, Annabel Elliot, is Camilla’s sister.
King Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles made their first public appearance together in 1999 following Annabel Elliot’s 50th birthday party.
The Palace also released the official invite, confirming that the coronation will take place on May 6, 2023, at the Abbey Church of Westminster.
According to the royal family’s website, over 2,000 invitations will be sent in the mail.
The invite, which was designed by heraldic artist, Andrew Jamieson, features the Green Man, an ancient figure from British folklore, who is fittingly symbolic of spring and rebirth, to celebrate the new reign.

The Palace also released a new photo of the couple, who married in 2005.
No word yet whether the King’s younger son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, will be making the 5,459-mile-long hop trip from their Montecito, Calif., home to London.
If they do make the trip, it may be the last time they stay in their former home of Frogmore Cottage.
Last month the Duke of Sussex confirmed that his father had evicted his family from their Windsor Estate.
The eviction notice reportedly took place just one day after Prince Harry’s controversial memoir, “Spare” hit shelves.
