Francia Raísa called out Selena Gomez for drinking after kidney transplant: dad

Francia Raísa’s father says his daughter confronted Selena Gomez because she didn’t stop drinking after the “Grown-ish” alum donated a kidney to the singer.

When asked why Raísa didn’t appear in Gomez’s new documentary, “My Mind & Me,” Renán Almendárez Coello confirmed longstanding rumors that the girls got into a disagreement.

“Love, money and fame changes the whole world, including Selena,” he said on “Primer Impacto” last November.

The host then questioned if their fallout was “provoked” by Gomez’s drinking.

“There’s a difference when Selena is drinking,” Coello replied. “Francia told Selena that she didn’t give her the kidney so she could go out and drink.”

Page Six has reached out to Gomez’s rep for comment.

In 2017, Raísa donated one of her kidneys to Gomez, who suffers from lupus.

The “Wizards of Waverly Place” alum, 30, documented the medical procedure, sharing images of her and the “How I Met Your Father” actress, 34, holding hands from their respective hospital beds.

“There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa,” Gomez wrote at the time on Instagram. “She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me.

“I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis.”

“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities. My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong,” Gomez told Rolling Stone last November.

Raísa responded to the interview by writing and deleting the word, “Interesting” under an Instagram post.

In March 2023, the “Another Cinderella Story” actress called Raísa her “best friend,” suggesting the ladies might have made amends.

She also said during the interview for Apple TV+’s “Dear…” that she “will never, ever, ever be more in debt to a person than Francia” for being her kidney donor.

Meanwhile, Raísa is keeping mum about their friendship. On April 30, she dodged answering questions from a TMZ paparazzo, who asked her why she still doesn’t follow Gomez back on social media.

The “Life Size 2” star simply told him, “Sunday is so fun … I’m Francia, I’m hanging out with my dog.”

However, a week later, she did tell the pap that she was being bullied online by her former BFF’s fans.

“I think the [comment] that probably hurt the most was, ‘I hope someone goes up your p–y and rips out your other kidney, you f–king whore,’” she shared, adding, “In no way shape or form does anyone condone bullying, especially Selena.”
