Alec and Hilaria Baldwin hit first red carpet since ‘Rust’ charges dropped
Alec Baldwin and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, flaunted their love during the actor’s first red carpet appearance since his “Rust” shooting charges were dropped.
The “30 Rock” alum and the yoga instructor intimately embraced each other as they posed for photographers at the 2023 PEN America Spring Literary Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Thursday.
Alec, 65, was seen sweetly kissing Hilaria, 39, on the forehead, and they wrapped their arms around each other at another point.
While Hilaria held a soft smile for shutterbugs, Alec was notably stoic during his appearance, maintaining a serious look on his face.
The “Saturday Night Live” alum looked dapper in a classic black tuxedo and a black bowtie, and his wife was chic in a monochromatic feathered gown.
Hilaria shared photos from their evening out, writing on her Instagram on Friday, “He was annoyed with me because I made him come out of elevator for a pic…it was worth it.
“We dress up so rarely now that Edu asked me: ‘mommy, what’s on your eyeballs?’ ‘Makeup’, I told him…I feel judged by a 2 year old 🤣,” she added, referencing one of their seven kids together.
Hilaria also wrote that her husband needed to help her “figure out how to untie the back” of her Guvanch Agajumayev gown to “get [her] out of it.”
“Which means it might be my pjs until I can get help tomorrow from someone else 🆘,” she joked.
The couple’s PDA-packed outing marks the first red carpet appearance since Alec’s name was cleared in April over the deadly October 2021 shooting of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

He had been charged with involuntary manslaughter after a prop pistol he was using on set for his Western film unexpectedly fired a real bullet, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.
Alec’s lawyers, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, told The Post, “We are pleased with the decision to dismiss the case against Alec Baldwin, and we encourage a proper investigation into the facts and circumstances of this tragic accident.”
However, special prosecutor Kari Morrissey told CNN that the dismissal is “temporary pending further investigation” given that Alec’s co-defendant Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the film’s armorer, has yet to be cleared.
Alec resumed filming for “Rust” days after the charges were dismissed and shared how “grateful” he was to be back on set in Montana. Photos then emerged of him being “shot” and “hung” while filming a scene for the movie.
The Oscar nominee thanked Hilaria for supporting him shortly after finding out the charges were being dropped.
“I owe everything I have to this woman,” he captioned a photo snuggled up to his wife at dinner, adding of his lawyer, “(and to you, Luke).”
Alec and Hilaria married in 2012 and share Carmen, 9, Rafael, 7, Leonardo, 6, Romeo, 5, Eduardo, 2, Lucia, 2, and Ilaria, 7 months. Alec also shares 27-year-old daughter Ireland with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
