Mama June cheers on Honey Boo Boo as she graduates high school: ‘So proud’

June “Mama June” Shannon was a super “proud” parent over the weekend as she watched daughter Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson graduate from high school.

In a video posted by Mama June via Instagram on Saturday, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon could be heard screaming her 17-year-old sister’s nickname, “Lana,” as she received her diploma from Wilkinson County High School in McIntyre, Ga.

“I’m so proud of her she is our 2023 graduate and yes we was hollering the whole time WTG LANA,” June, 43, captioned her post, which showed Thompson – chic in a yellow cap and gown – walking to accept her diploma.

“AND YALL KNOW I SCREAMED WORK IT SMOOCHIE ONE LAST TIME,” she continued, referring to a phrase the “Toddlers and Tiaras” mom would scream while a younger Thompson was on stage during a beauty pageant.

“THAT ALL OF US SCREAMING YES PUMPKIN GOT THE VIDEO BUT WE WERE ALL HOLLERING THE WHOLE TIME,” she added in another comment.

Lauryn, 23, also showed love for her sister — who she gained sole custody of in June 2022 — as she wrote via Instagram how “proud” she is of the high school graduate, sharing that she is “amazed” that she gets to witness “the next chapter” of her sister’s life.

“Amazed at how much you’ve grown, how beautiful your soul is, & most importantly how far youve come against all odds,” Lauryn wrote alongside a video of the graduation. Her post also included photos of her embracing the former “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” star in her cap and gown —which notably featured a tiara.

“Please always know im your biggest fan & always & forever gonna be screaming the loudest for you. I love you lana 🥰,” she wrote.

As previously reported, the former beauty pageant queen had debated inviting her mother to the graduation ceremony altogether in 2022.

“I think I’m at the age where I’m not like sitting there like, ‘Oh, I just wish my mommy was coming home.’ Like Mama is gonna do what Mama is going to do,’” Thompson said during an episode of “Mama June: Road to Redemption.”

“Every time with her it’s like you get your hopes up … like, I’m going to graduate soon, should I even invite you to my graduation because, like, are you even gonna come?”

Thompson had been living with Lauryn ever since her mother was arrested for drug possession and paraphernalia in 2019.

Despite a long road to mending their relationship, the family appeared to be all smiles during the joyous occasion.
