Madonna’s longtime pal Debi Mazar gives health update on ‘strongest gal I know’

Madonna’s longtime pal Debi Mazar is letting fans know that the singer is “on the mend” after being rushed to the hospital over the weekend.

“Get well Sis! Rest,Restore,Reboot!Strongest gal I know…,” the “Entourage” star, 58, captioned a sepia-toned pic of her and Madonna from the early 80s via Instagram on Thursday.

“To all of her fans-Madonna is on the mend & home resting! #Warrior #Lioness💪🏽❤️💪🏽❤️💪🏽❤️.”

As previously reported, Madonna, 64, was found unresponsive and rushed to a New York hospital Saturday where she was intubated overnight.

Her longtime manager, Guy Oseary, revealed the medical news in an Instagram post shared Wednesday.

According to Oseary, the “Material Girl” singer “developed a serious bacterial infection which led to a several day stay” in the ICU.

“She is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he continued, noting that Madonna’s upcoming “Celebration” tour has now been postponed.

A source later told CNN that the Queen of Pop has since been released from the hospital and was transported to her New York City home via a private ambulance.

Page Six confirmed Thursday that a police escort was seen outside her residence.

Two of Madonna’s children – son David Banda and Rocco Ritchie, whose dad is director Guy Ritchie – were also spotted outside their mom’s home. The singer is also mom to daughters Lourdes Leon, Mercy, Stella and Estere.

As for Mazar, she has been friends with Madonna for over 40 years after initially meeting the singer at NYC’s former Danceteria nightclub.

“She had a presence,” Mazar told Interview magazine of her pal in 2015. “She was very raw, very sexual. She made direct eye-contact. She had her own style, and her style was really cool — she had that messy, dirty hair, but it looked beautiful. She had big eyebrows and tons of bracelets.”

The “Goodfellas” actress was eventually hired to do Madonna’s makeup for her music video “Everybody” in 1982. Years later, she also did the performer’s makeup for Madonna’s run in Broadway’s “Speed-the-Plow.”

Back in April, Mazar defended Madonna after her pal was harshly criticized for her appearance at the 2023 Grammys.

“I don’t pay attention to any of it. I think Madonna is beautiful and I don’t pay attention to what people say about me or about anybody,” Mazar told Page Six.

“Everyone [on the internet] has an opinion these days and the only way really to survive, only the strong survive, is not to hear all the noise.”

The “Younger” star reiterated, “I think Madonna is beautiful.”

Earlier Thursday, Rosie O’Donnell – who has also been close pals with Madonna for years – shared an update on the singer’s health via her own Instagram feed.

“she’s feeling good,” the comedian captioned a pic of the two doing yoga poses on the now-defunct “Rosie O’Donnell Show.”

Madonna has yet to publicly address her recent hospitalization. Page Six has reached out to her reps for comment.
