Kyle Richards was ‘unbothered’ by marital rumors ahead of Mauricio Umansky split
Kyle Richards said she was “unbothered” by rumors her marriage to Mauricio Umanksy was on the rocks just three months before news of their split.
Although People reported on Monday that “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star sang a different tune to Page Six back in April.
When asked why her co-stars had begun questioning her marriage again, Richards revealed it was due to a “stupid picture” of her leaving the gym without her wedding ring.
“A, I haven’t been wearing my big diamond ring, because there’s a lot of crime these days and I’m like, ‘I’m not comfortable,’” the 54-year-old explained to us. “And B, I had just come from the gym lifting weights, so I was like, ‘That thing sparked that?’”
The picture in question — which was taken in February — showed the “RHOBH” OG leaving her gym in blue leggings, a black tank, sneakers but no diamond.
Yet Richards told us that she was used to her relationship with Umanksy, 53, being put under the microscope.
“When this stuff would come up before, I would like, cry and I was devastated,” Richards reflected. “But now, I’m more like, ‘OK, I’ve done this before. Let’s do this. Bring it on. Come on. Let’s see what you got for me here.’”
However, she noted that it was going to be hard for her to watch her co-stars talk about their relationship when the upcoming season of “RHOBH” airs.
“Obviously, you don’t love that because when the show airs in six months, I will be dealing with this and people are going to be talking again and more fake stories and lies.”

Yet the Bravolebrity insisted that she and Umansky, 52, are staying “unbothered” about the rumors.
“I am in my unbothered era when it comes to that. That is for sure.”
While it’s unclear exactly when the couple — who wed in 1996 — called it quits, an insider told People that they “are still living under the same roof.”
“They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family,” the source noted of the pair, who share daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23 and Portia, 15.
Similarly to his estranged wife, Umanksy denied speculation that there was trouble in paradise while on the “Two Ts in a Pod with Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge” podcast in April.
“We’re not getting divorced,” Umansky insisted. “I mean, it’s so dumb. That one stupid story that came out there, and then the girls all, you know, decided to talk about it on the ‘Housewives,’ and so now it’s a storyline.”
The “Dealmaker” author shared that viewers will see him and his wife “address” the chatter during Season 13.
“It is what it is,” he added.
