Tiffany Haddish claims Common broke up with her over phone: It ‘wasn’t mutual’

Two years after Common called his and Tiffany Haddish’s breakup a “mutual” decision, she is calling him out for dumping her over the phone.

The actress star clarified to the Washington Post that their split “wasn’t mutual” despite the rapper’s claims.

“It was more him saying, ‘I think this relationship has run its course,’” she alleged Thursday. “And I was like, ‘OK. Like, you gonna be a 50-year-old single man. OK?'”

Haddish also accused her ex of not inviting her to a series of events before the breakup — including his own birthday celebration.

Page Six has reached out to Common’s rep for comment.

While dating the actor from 2020 to 2021, Haddish “felt safest out of all the relationships [she’s] ever had.”

She called their romance “the healthiest [and] the funnest” of her life.

Since Common ended things, Haddish said she has remained a “positive person” who is holding out hope for a “partner to experience [life] with.”

The Emmy winner, however, noted, “But also, I guess I’ve been alone for so long. And so used to being abandoned, I expect it. Which is sad, right?”

She and Common first made headlines in May 2020 when they attended Zoom parties together during quarantine, with the duo waiting three months to confirm their relationship.

News broke of their split in November 2021.

“[We] came to the understanding that this is what’s gonna be best for us,” Common told “Hollywood Unlocked With Jason Lee” listeners the following month, calling it a “mutual decision.”

In addition to setting the record straight on their time together, Haddish also spoke to the outlet last week about the miscarriages she has secretly suffered over the years.

The “Girls Trip” star recently experienced her eighth pregnancy loss, explaining that she has “a uterus shaped like a heart” that “just won’t keep anything in.”

As for why she has kept her struggles under wraps, Haddish said, “I don’t want people saying: ‘Are you okay? Are you all right?’ Like a wounded animal, I just rather go in a cave by myself. Lick my wounds.”

Although the comedian took parenting classes last year in order to adopt, she remains on the fence about whether becoming a mother would be a “selfish” decision.

Haddish told “Entertainment Tonight” in June 2021 that she was looking to take in a child from the age of 5 and up.

“I want to get somebody that … already knows how to use the restroom, already knows how to talk, already knows how to communicate,” the “Night School” star said. “All I want to do is pour knowledge in … [and] get them ready for the big, bad world.”
