Courtney Stodden ditches engagement ring in first sighting since split announcement
Courtney Stodden was seen for the first time since it emerged that she ended her engagement to Chris Sheng.
Page Six confirmed last week that Stodden, 28, and Sheng, 43, called it quits in February after he popped the all-important question in May 2021.
“Courtney is now a single woman,” a rep for Stodden, who is non-binary and uses she/her and they/them pronouns, told Page Six. “She is looking forward to telling her story.”
And in her first outing since the news came to light, Stodden ditched her massive diamond sparkler during a quick coffee run in Los Angeles Tuesday.
The model, who typically boasts blonde hair, was seen sporting long dark brown tresses during her outing.
She opted for a multi-color maxi dress and paired it with green strappy heels.
Stodden accessorized with a brown leather bag and gold jewelry, and topped the look off with heavy eye makeup.
The star is no longer in contact with her ex, whom she began dating in 2017.
She announced the pair’s engagement in May 2021, writing on Instagram at the time, “I said yes …OH and the ring made me gag it’s so beautiful 🔥😍💎.”
For his part, Sheng revealed in a now-deleted Instagram post that he felt “so blessed and fortunate” to propose to “the love of [his] life.”
“We have both grown so much since we first met, and the fact that we have both been able to grow into better, stronger, more secure individuals while still being in a relationship together makes me have faith that this partnership will last a lifetime,” he said at the time.
Sheng also described their love as the “truest” kind of love, the kind where “we may not always like each other but will ALWAYS love and respect each other.”
Stodden was previously married to “The Green Mile” actor Doug Hutchison, tying the knot with the then-51-year-old in 2011 when she was just 16 years old.
In March 2020, Stodden announced the pair had finalized their divorce.

The TV personality told Us Weekly that month, “I’ve been dating the same guy for three years, Chris. I am working on myself every day.”
At the time, Stodden confessed it wasn’t “easy to believe in love.”
“It’s hard for me to completely open up to him and trust,” Stodden shared. “I’m constantly pulling back and criticizing everything about everything. I need time to heal and hopefully I can learn how to love again fully.”
