Ariana Madix defends still sharing home with cheating ex Tom Sandoval 5 months after breakup
Ariana Madix and Tom Sandoval still live under the same roof five months after their breakup — and she wants everyone to get over it.
The Something About Her co-owner clapped back at Bethenny Frankel and Raquel Leviss’ recent criticism about her living situation on Friday’s episode of the “Scheananigans with Scheana Shay” podcast, saying she will not “f—k [herself] over” because of her ex’s cheating scandal.
“I have never been someone who came from money. I know how quickly that goes away,” she explained. “I’m taking care of myself.”
Madix noted that she has “financial advisers, a lawyer, an accountant [and] all kinds of people helping make the best decisions” to avoid “squandering [her] financial future and stability.”
Madix clarified that she is not “Scrooge McDuck” and is “not rich.”
She added, “I pay a mortgage. It’s expensive. A lot of people on the internet seem to think I’m rolling in money right now. I have a lot of places where that money has to go before I get [it].”
As for her and Sandoval’s dynamic in their Los Angeles home, Madix made it clear that they do not interact.
“I have a pretty decent setup,” she said. “My room is kind of like my little apartment. … I stay in my own little zone.”
After clarifying that she keeps her door “locked just in case,” Madix said, “I sleep a lot easier at night not giving a f—k when he comes in that door. … Yes, we’re in the same house, but I don’t have to think about [him].”
Similarly, Madix wrote via Instagram earlier this week that she is working with her team to “navigate the best path forward” while avoiding inflicting any additional “trauma” on her pets by “uprooting” them.
Madix, 38, and Sandoval, 41, called it quits in March after news broke of his months-long affair with Leviss.
While Madix pretended to move out of the house two months later, photos of her with cardboard boxes and a U-Haul truck were part of a brand deal with SoFi, a personal finance company.

In Leviss’ Aug. 16 “Just B with Bethenny Frankel” interview, the former pageant queen alleged that Sandoval had a key to her empty apartment during the months she was receiving treatment in Arizona.
“He had a free place to stay and chose to stay in the house with Ariana,” Leviss claimed. “They both can afford a place or go rent a place.”
The 28-year-old added, “It really isn’t that surprising that they’re living together in my eyes because it’s been this way. They haven’t been an authentic couple, romantic, intimate.”
Frankel, for her part, suggested that Madix should be able to leave with her “millions of dollars of brand deals.”
