Kim Kardashian slammed for ‘tone-deaf’ tribute to Steve Harwell in gold bikini

The ice she skates is getting pretty thin.

Kim Kardashian appeared to pay tribute to late Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell with a signature snap of herself in a bikini — but not everyone was feeling the love.

The reality star posted a mirror selfie to Instagram Wednesday, which showed her rocking a metallic two-piece.

“All that glitters is gold,” she captioned the image, in reference to the band’s hit song, “All Star.”

“Low key tone deaf but go off,” one person commented.

“kim there’s people that are dying- literally,” another added.

A third person chimed in, “Someone dies and you use their lyrics to post a thirst trap. 🙄”

Others pondered whether Kardashian was even aware the rocker had passed away on Monday.

“Is this her tribute post to Steve Harwell?” one fan asked, while another wrote, “Kim the smash mouth guy just died. Take this down.”

Despite backlash from fans, the remaining members of the band seemed to approve of the mom of four’s choice of words, retweeting her pic and adding more lyrics: “only shooting stars.”

Harwell reportedly suffered liver failure due to alcohol addiction, which led to his death at age 56.

The band’s manager, Robert Hayes, confirmed the tragic news earlier this week.

He told Rolling Stone the founding vocalist was “surrounded by family and friends” when he “passed peacefully and comfortably” at his home in Boise, Idaho.

“Steve has been retired from Smash Mouth for two years now, and the band continues to tour with new vocalist Zach Goode. That said, Steve’s legacy will live on through the music,” Hayes said.

“With Steve, Smash Mouth has sold over 10 million albums worldwide and topped the charts with two No. 1 hit singles, five Top 40 singles, three Hot 100 singles, four Billboard 200 albums and a Grammy nomination, not to mention the hundreds of film and television placements and of course those musical features in ‘Shrek,’” the manager went on.

Hayes also recalled Harwell’s “iconic voice,” noting that he “lived a 100% full-throttle life, burning brightly across the universe before burning out.”

Although it remains unclear whether Kardashian’s post was meant to be interpreted as a tribute to the “Walkin’ on the Sun” hitmaker, she threw her support behind another singer — Beyoncé — earlier this week.

She ditched her glittering gold in favor sparking silver for a night out with her daughter North West, mom Kris Jenner, sister Khloé Kardashian and their niece, Penelope Disick.

The “Kardashians” stars followed Queen Bey’s last-minute silver dress code request for the Los Angeles concert, with Kim, 42, donning a bandeau top dripping in Swarovski crystals.
