Bethenny Frankel changes her tune on Taylor Swift, jokes singer put Travis Kelce ‘on the map’
Bethenny Frankel had a slight change of heart with Taylor Swift, joking that her blossoming relationship with Travis Kelce “put him on the map.”
After slamming the singer as “over the top” for cheering on Kelce at Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs game, Frankel went on another rant about the couple — and this time, she bashed the two-time Super Bowl winner’s career.
“I’ve never heard the man’s name in my life. It’s not only that she put him on the map – she drew the map, she charted the course that we’re gonna take when we utilize the map, and she took him like a claw in the arcade as a toy and put him on the map,” Frankel said in a TikTok on Wednesday.
The “Real Housewives of New York City” alum emphasized that she had “never heard his name in my whole life.
“When I look at him, he looks like a guy who would be in like a crime movie like a tough Russian Albanian just has like two lines in a scene like, ‘it’s done, looks tough,'” she continued in some sort of Eastern European accent.
Frankel, 52, was cackling throughout the video and expressed how the obsession over Swift and Kelce’s relationship is her “favorite thing I’ve ever seen.”
The Skinnygirl founder later clarified her remarks on her Instagram Story and claimed she was “just baiting” her followers.
“I know some of you are mad at me, I’m sorry that I said Travis was put on the map by Taylor Swift, I know that Travis was on the football map,” she said. “It’s just a joke, he’s wonderful, he’s amazing, he’s a nationally famous football star, she happens to be a global icon, so all in good fun.”
Frankel’s attitude towards the budding romance seems to have changed over the last few days, since she previously slammed Swift for “chumming with” Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, in his private suite.
“It felt like the Chia Pet of a relationship,” she said in a TikTok on Tuesday. “Like, just add water. Like, they were together for 10 years. Like, she’s a full football wife. She literally looked like she had been in a serious relationship with this guy for decades.”

Frankel also urged the “Love Story” songstress to “maintain your own identity” when dating and “[being] your own person.”
Several fans initially called out Frankel for her hot take and defended Swift for being “authentic” and “genuine.”
Frankel’s viral videos came after Swift cheered on Kelce amid reports that the two were “hanging out.”
The tight end and the Grammy winner were spotted leaving the game together and later at a rooftop where they looked “very affectionate” with each other.
Kelce spoke out about the meetup for the first time on Wednesday’s episode of his “New Heights” podcast where he called Swift “ballsy” and gushed that she “looked amazing.”
He also teased that “everybody in the suite had nothing but good things to say about her.”
