Margot Robbie kicks off awards season in Barbie pink at Palm Springs International Film Festival

Awards season Barbie has entered the chat.

Margot Robbie sported yet another Barbiecore look as she attended the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards on Thursday night, wearing a very 1980s pink-and-black dotted dress for her first red carpet of awards season 2024.

The “Barbie” star, 33, looked chic in the bubblegum-hued Balmain ensemble, which featured long puffed sleeves and a short skirt with rosette detail at the hip and bust.

She paired the minidress with coordinating pink mules covered in black polka dots, wearing her blond hair in beachy waves for the event.

Robbie’s stylist, Andrew Mukamal — who has dressed her in a range of doll-like outfits to promote the 2023 movie — shared an image from the red carpet on Instagram, with fans jumping in to praise his latest styling efforts.

“Everything is perfect…. But people the shoes omg the little polka dot shows ❤️ sublime,” one Instagram user wrote, while another commented, “this makes me so excited for all the award season looks this year!!!”

“It’s impossible for her to not look amazing BUT she always pops in pink 💕🎀🩰👛” a third fan added.

Balmain’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing, even weighed in on the post, writing, “Iconic , the beauty , the elegance 💕💞 thank you so so much @andrewmukamal.”

This isn’t the first dotted dress Robbie has worn during the “Barbie” press tour; she channeled 2015’s Pink & Fabulous Barbie in a polka-dot minidress for the movie’s first photo call last summer.

Since then, the “Babylon” actress has gone on to wear a bevvy of pink ‘fits, and while Thursday’s outfit wasn’t a direct recreation of a real Mattel outfit, she’s had plenty of practice copying Barbie’s fabulous looks.

From Solo in the Spotlight Barbie to the OG striped swimsuit the first iteration of the famous doll wore, Robbie has nailed a number of Barbie’s iconic outfits.

With the Golden Globes just days away, we’re on the edge of our seats to see what this living doll wears next.
