Kid Cudi breaks his foot during Coachella 2024 performance, lands in hospital

Kid Cudi was hospitalized for a foot injury after jumping off the stage during his Coachella 2024 performance on Sunday.

“Hey guys, so I broke my foot today at the show. 🤦🏾‍♂️ just leavin the hospital,” the “Day ‘n’ Night” rapper wrote on X Monday.

The hip-hop star, 40, explained that he had never broken a bone before and called the accident “all a bit crazy.”

“I wanna thank u all for ur concerns and well wishes!! I love yall man,” he said. “I heard yall still ragin when I was offstage. Made me smile big.”

He also posted a video as he recovered in bed and joked that this is what happens when a “40-year old man tries to prance around off stage like he’s 26.”

Videos circulating on social media captured the “Pursuit of Happiness” artist leaping off the stage and landing on the ground while putting pressure on his foot. He was then seen wincing in pain as he attempted to push himself up.

Cudi, born Scott Mescudi, subsequently ended his set early due to his wound and was carried away from the stage to immediately seek medical attention.

Fans of the artist flooded social media with well-wishes and praised his performance — which was a surprise addition to the Coachella Weekend Two lineup.

“It was a dope set bro. Feel better,” one person commented on his post.

“Praying for a quick recovery big bro!! You killed that set too!” a second person wrote.

“Oh bro! You left it all out on the stage. Heal up,” a third fan said.

“hope u good cudder, that was an amazing show, best one throughout all of Coachella,” another added.

The “Knuckles” actor had performed new music from his album, “Insano,” including tracks “Moon Man S–t” and “Blue Sky” during the show.

He surprised followers last week by announcing his engagement to Louis Vuitton designer Lola Abecassis Sartore.

“My fiancé Lola and me at the ‘Knuckles’ premiere,” he wrote on Instagram on April 18 along with a photo of the couple cuddling up at the show’s screening party.

“This amazing woman makes me so happy, she is everything to me and im so excited to share this news w u all,” he added. “Life is wild, and right when I felt my future was uncertain, it became crystal clear with Lola. Happy Cud in full effect 😉🙏🏾.”

Sartore also celebrated taking the next step in their relationship with a sweet message on Instagram.

“I never thought I could love someone this much! So proud to call you my fiancé Scott. ❤️‍🔥,” she said. “I can’t wait for you all to see this amazing man in the new ‘Knuckles’ show!”
