Chris Pratt divides fans after leaving ex Anna Faris out of Mother’s Day tribute again

Chris Pratt once again left his ex-wife and the mother of his 11-year-old son, Anna Faris, out of the Mother’s Day tribute he shared on Instagram Sunday.

The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star instead praised his mother, Kathy, and wife Katherine Schwarzenegger, with whom he shares, Lyla, 3, and Eloise, 19 months.

“Witnessing you be a mom to Lyla and Eloise and a stepmom to Jack makes me fall more and more in love with you every day,” the 44-year-old captioned a carousel of photos, referencing his wife.

“The 24/7 job of scheduling, transporting, loving, nurturing, managing calendars, planning activities, the nutrition, the boundaries, the rules, the patience, the gentleness, the firmness, the wisdom, and grace. It’s truly a marvel.”

Despite the kind words to Schwarzenegger, many fans were upset that he didn’t acknowledge Faris — whom he was married to from 2009 to 2017 — in the post.

“And Ana?” one fan commented while another asked, “Wait a minuet [sic] where is Ana Faris ?”

“He should have posted the other MOTHER of his child,” a third pointed out.

However, many fans were on Pratt’s side, with one person writing, “Guys, Ana is his ex-wife. I think it would be weird if he were to post her also because we don’t know what terms they are on.

“It is also possible that he reaches out to her personally than to post her on social media. Remember, she doesn’t post him on father days so it works both ways.”

“This man does not have to shout out his EX wife on mother’s day. That is so weird,” a second one wrote, while another one said, “Y’all, as an ex-wife, not all of us want some public post from our ex. And as a current wife, I wouldn’t want my husband posting one. No need to slam the guy.”

Pratt’s omission divided fans with some criticizing the actor.
However, many defended Pratt and noted that Faris hadn’t mentioned him on Father’s Day.

This is not the first time the “Parks & Rec” alum has come under fire for his posts.

He was slammed in 2021 for praising Schwarzenegger for giving him a “healthy daughter,” which many called out as tone-deaf given that his son with Faris, Jack, has suffered serious health issues over the years.

“I love Chris Pratt, but the ‘healthy daughter’ part is made me wince,” one person tweeted. “Although he may not have meant it as an insult, it sort of came off that way. Imagine how that will make his son feel, if he ever reads it?”

Another noted, “Chris Pratt has a kid with Anna Farris [sic] who suffered a cerebral hemorrhage during birth and now has slight physical disabilities because of it. But he made sure to write ‘healthy daughter’ here. Chris Pratt is a d–k.”

In 2012, the former couple welcomed Jack, who was born nine weeks prematurely and had to undergo several operations, including hernia and eye surgeries.

He was also forced to stay in the intensive care unit for over a month before going home.

“The Lego Movie” star told Page Six in 2023 that he deals with negative press by relying on faith.

“That’s the way it is, nothing new, 2,000 years ago they hated Him, too,” he said, referencing Jesus Christ.
