Why Sam Asghari can’t talk about ex-wife Britney Spears on ‘The Traitors’

Sam Asghari cannot say much about his ex-wife, Britney Spears, while competing on “The Traitors” Season 3, Page Six has learned.
We’re told the actor signed a nondisclosure agreement years ago that bars him from going into detail about his marriage to the Princess of Pop.
However, contrary to a new TMZ report claiming Asghari is “not allowed to say anything negative or positive” about Spears, a source tells Page Six exclusively that there is “not a complete ban” and also points out that the model has publicly spoken about his former spouse since their divorce.
“It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time,” he told People in March, adding that “people grow apart and people move on.”
Spears, 42, has shared kind words for Asghari, 30, too, calling him a “gift from God” in her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” last year. (She completed the book prior to their separation, but it was published after.)
Reps for Asghari and Peacock did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
The NBC streaming service unveiled its cast for the forthcoming installment of “The Traitors” Wednesday, revealing that the former personal trainer will compete against reality TV stars from long-running franchises including “The Real Housewives,” “Survivor,” “Big Brother” and “The Bachelor,” among others.
It is Asghari’s first major gig since he filed for divorce from Spears in August 2023 over unfounded allegations that she had cheated on him.
The former couple settled their divorce in May, with court documents stating that a prenuptial agreement would protect Spears’ multimillion-dollar earnings from before, during and after their short-lived union.
The Grammy winner and Asghari married at her mansion in Thousand Oaks, Calif., in June 2022 after nearly six years together.
The star-studded guest list included Madonna, Paris Hilton and Donatella Versace, the latter of whom designed the bride’s gown.
