Taylor Swift jokes she’s ‘going to die’ while struggling to put out apartment fire with Gracie Abrams in new video

Taylor Swift now knows how to use a fire extinguisher all too well.

Three days after Gracie Abrams revealed Swift put out a blaze in the “Fortnight” singer’s $50 million New York City apartment, she shared the footage via Instagram.

“What do I do about this?” Swift, 34, asked in the video posted Friday as she paced around her kitchen holding a fire extinguisher. “So I cut this with a knife? I think we’re going to die.”

The pop star struggled to put out the flames.

As the Grammy winner pointed the extinguisher at the flames and struggled to get foam to emerge, Abrams, 24, urged her to “just press it.”

The “Risk” singer laughed as a frustrated Swift called the extinguisher a “bitch” before getting it to work.

The pop superstar subsequently stared at the remnants of the fire with a shocked expression, noting, “Our purses are ruined. And my shoes. And the whole room, I think.”

She joked that they were “going to die.”
Swift also called the fire extinguisher a “bitch.”

Abrams coughed and sarcastically replied, “It smells really good, though.”

J.J. Abrams’ daughter also shared a video from earlier in the evening as she and Swift co-wrote “Us,” which began streaming Friday with the release of Gracie’s sophomore album, “The Secret of Us.”

The “Close to You” singer gushed, “Writing this entire song from 2am to 6am was some of the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. @taylorswift now we know how to use a fire extinguisher. I love you.”

She stared at the camera with a shocked expression after getting it to work.
She said their purses, her shoes and the whole room were “ruined.”

When she initially recounted the story from six months ago in a Billboard interview published Tuesday, Gracie called Swift a “legend.”

She said, “I don’t know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do. We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks.”

Swifties gushed over the Instagram footage, with many joking that “the song was so fire they actually started one.”

One noted that the video felt “illegal” to witness, while another wrote, “i feel like i just watched the declaration of independence be written.”

Swift, who has yet to publicly react to the viral social media upload, is currently in England for her Eras Tour.

Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is expected to attend, as he was in France this week for the Cannes Lions festival — and his brother, Jason Kelce, was spotted in a London pub wearing his signature flip flops.

Since Travis and Swift began dating in July 2023, the athlete, 34, has watched her perform in Buenos Aires, Singapore, Sydney and Paris.

Gracie, notably, opened for Swift’s Eras Tour in the spring and summer of last year, and she will resume her role in the fall.

They have been friends since 2022.
