‘Street Outlaws’ star Lizzy Musi dead at 33 after breast cancer battle
“Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” driver Lizzy Musi died Thursday night following a battle with stage 4 breast cancer. She was 33.
Lizzy’s father, Pat Musi, confirmed the news in a heartbreaking statement shared to his Facebook page.
“Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight,” the grieving father wrote.
He thanked those who supported and prayed for his daughter throughout her difficult cancer battle.
“At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace,” he added. “We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”
Fans flocked to the comments section of Pat’s post to mourn the loss of the drag racer.
“Sorry for your loss. Sending prayers to you and your family,” one person commented on the post.
“This is unreal. So sorry to be reading this,” a second fan said.
“i have no words; my thoughts and prayers are with yall though,” another added.
Lizzy first shared that she was diagnosed with triple negative stage 4 breast cancer that had moved from her lymph nodes to her liver in an April 2023 Instagram post.
She continued to document her cancer fight, posting photos and videos of her struggles amid treatment.
Last June, Lizzy shared that she had shaved her head “due to extreme hair loss.”
“Every time I brushed my hair it would just fall out in clumps. I had bald spots and excessive shedding it was just getting to the point where I was ready to take that step,” she wrote at the time.
In April, Lizzy posted a video showing that she was living life to the fullest as she continued chemotherapy treatment.
“I am so very thankful to what this journey has actually taught me,” she captioned the post. “I now know I have a purpose in life. I am grateful to keep going. GOD, my support of my family & friends and my knowledgeable doctors @mdandersoncancercenter AND @dukecancerinstitute gives me the strength and go!”
Lizzy was in a serious relationship with NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Jeffrey Earnhardt. He has not yet commented on Lizzy’s passing.
