There’s some shady business in a billionaire sunglasses heir’s buzzy romance.

Leonardo Del Vecchio — a scion of to the Luxxotica empire, which includes Ray Ban, Persol, Sunglasses Hut and many other luxe sunnies brands — has recently become engaged to soap star Jessica Serfaty, and they’ve been celebrating their romance with appearances at the Met Ball, among other splashy outings.

But we hear Serfaty — a former girlfriend of Ed Westwick, influencer Logan Paul and Niall Horan of the One Direction — has accused Del Vecchio of abusing her, and just as quickly withdrawn the allegation.
Now they’re the talk of the fashion world for the wrong reasons.

Del Vecchio is the son of Leonardo Del Vecchio Sr., and Milanese businessman who died in 2022 with a fortune of some $24 billion, making him the richest person in Italy. He was married three times and had six children, each of whom reportedly inherited several billion dollars.

Leonardo Jr., who serves as the chief strategy officer for Luxxotica, is reportedly for some $4 billion.
He became engaged to “Days of Our Lives” actress Serfaty last year.

But on Sunday Serfaty accused him in a tearful social media video of hitting her.

Then on Monday she posted a message saying, “Leo and I apologise for any who were triggered or affected by yesterday’s story,” adding, “Sometimes a family can have their own arguments and these should never be made public.”

Serfaty, who has a son from her first marriage, said she would “never stay with an abusive man,” adding “which Leonardo Del Vecchio is not.” She said, “I revoke my words that were driven by anger and not in truth” and that he “will always be a companion, step father and family person to me.”
