Kesha was given a real butcher knife during Lollapalooza performance instead of a prop — and she ‘didn’t know’

Kesha claimed she was given a real knife while onstage at Lollapalooza Thursday — and “didn’t know” it.

“sooooo apparently the prop knife went missing and they replaced it with a real butcher knife stolen from the kitchen,” the “Die Young” singer, 37, wrote via X Friday, “and i didn’t know. till now.”

Kesha’s revelation drew comparisons to Alec Baldwin’s involuntary manslaughter case, which was recently dismissed.

In October 2021, the actor, 66, accidentally shot dead cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of his Western film “Rust” after his prop manager gave him a loaded gun.

“They did WHAT,” a social media user said in response to Kesha’s post alongside a photo of Baldwin.

Another agreed, “My thoughts exactly 😭,” while several others just laughed at the reference.

People also noted that Kesha dancing with knives reminded them of when Britney Spears did the same, sharing GIFS of the viral video.

In September 2023, the pop superstar, 42, posted a clip of herself via Instagram twirling while holding butcher’s knives.

“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️!!!” she captioned the video at the time.

Police were then called to the “Toxic” singer’s home to perform a wellness check.

However, a source downplayed the ordeal, telling Page Six exclusively at the time that Spears was simply being “intentionally provocative” and paying homage to Shakira’s 2023 VMA performance.

Kesha, for her part, took the stage at the IHG Hotels & Resorts stage in Chicago Thursday wearing a midriff with black fishnet stockings underneath, a mini skirt, sneakers and a large knife in her hand.

The “TikTok” star is seen in a clip from the performance waving the blade around wildly. She and her dancers also appeared at one point drenched in fake blood.

It’s unclear why she incorporated the knife into her performance in the first place. Her reps did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
