Blake Lively reveals clash over ‘It Ends With Us’ song choice amid Justin Baldoni feud rumors

Blake Lively admitted to creative differences over a song choice on “It Ends With Us” amid Justin Baldoni feud rumors.

The actress mentioned the clash while speaking with Hits Radio UK on Sunday — but confessed she wasn’t “supposed to be talking about this.”

However, the “Gossip Girl” alum, 36, cryptically said, “They begged me to take [‘Cherry’ by Lana Del Rey] out of the movie.”

Lively, who did not specify who she was referring to, rolled her eyes when asked “why” before saying that “they felt like [the song] was too charged and heavy” for the scene.

“Things are still good with Ryle at that point,” she explained of her character Lily Bloom’s love interest, played by Baldoni.

“So you don’t want to feel that charge. The moment [Brandon Sklenar’s character], Atlas enters, things are charged and heavy,” Lively noted. “Like, there’s conflict, there’s pain, there’s turmoil, there’s tension.”

She continued, “You’re like, ‘Oh my god, my soulmate, the one that got away in my life, this person who’s haunting me and everything I do and everywhere I go is here now and we still have that connection.’

“You can be deeply in love with [one] person, but this [other] person comes in and … your insides are gonna be a mess,” Lively concluded. “So that’s why [I wanted the song].”

The “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” star’s admission comes as speculation swirls that she and Baldoni, 40, butted heads while working together.

Lively and her co-star — and director — did not pose for pictures together at the movie’s premiere and have yet to do press together.

On Monday, a fan video surfaced showing the pair allegedly “arguing” on set of the film, which is based on Colleen Hoover’s book of the same name.

An industry source claimed to Page Six last week that Baldoni created an “extremely difficult” environment for the whole cast.

The “Jane the Virgin” alum allegedly made Lively feel “uncomfortable” about her postpartum body as she filmed the movie shortly after welcoming her and Ryan Reynolds’ son, Olin.

“It’s not just Blake,” the insider added on Friday. “None of the cast enjoyed working with Justin.”

Lively and Baldoni’s reps have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
