Disney star Skai Jackson arrested for battery after fight with boyfriend, says they’re engaged and expecting
Disney Channel star Skai Jackson was arrested last week for domestic battery following an altercation with her boyfriend, Page Six has confirmed.
The “Jessie” actress, 22, allegedly ran into legal trouble at Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, Calif., on Aug. 9 after security noticed she and her beau beginning to fight, a rep for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tells Page Six.
Security decided to call the police after claiming to have seen Jackson push her boyfriend more than once. The guards detained the couple until local authorities arrived and reviewed footage, which allegedly showed the “Bunk’d” star had pushed him twice.
Jackson was arrested for misdemeanor domestic battery, cited and released a few hours later.
The case will be reviewed by the LA County District Attorney’s Office to determine if charges are warranted.
Reps for Jackson didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.
Despite the apparent footage of the scuffle, both Jackson and her boyfriend denied getting physical — and, in fact, said they are happily engaged and expecting a baby.
TMZ was the first to report the news of the actress’ arrest.
Not much is known about Jackson’s boyfriend in light of her keeping him off social media and living a very private life.
The “Sex Appeal” actress, who went viral in 2016 as a meme, joins a long line of Disney Channel stars who have found themselves involved with police.
“That’s So Raven” alum Orlando Brown has been in and out of lockup for burglaries, domestic violence and drugs.
“Hannah Montana” actor Mitchel Musso was arrested last summer for public intoxication, and ex-“Andi Mack” actor Stoney Westmoreland was arrested and charged with six felony counts in 2018 after authorities said he tried to have sex with a 13-year-old boy.
