Britney Spears’ kids with Kevin Federline: Meet sons Sean Preston and Jayden
Despite their ups and downs, Britney Spears is the mother of two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Sean Preston and Jayden were born in 2005 and 2006, respectively, with their parents splitting in 2007.
When the Princess of Pop’s 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, the singer began showing more of her bond with her sons on social media, from hikes to museum trips.
However, after Sean Preston and Jayden made headlines for missing Spears’ June 2022 wedding to Sam Asghari, Federline claimed that they hadn’t seen her for months. He even released videos of their arguments with the dancer.
Jayden subsequently spoke to ITV about his hopes to reconnect with Spears one day. In the meantime, the teenager requested the Grammy winner stop posting nude pictures online.

Sean Preston arrived in September 2005, one year after Spears and Federline’s wedding, with the new mom gushing, “We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son!”
Two weeks before finding out about her pregnancy, Spears wrote “Someday (I Will Understand)” about “finally see[ing] … God’s whole plan” in her “baby.”
Sean Preston has stayed out of the limelight over the years, appearing on only a handful of red carpets with his mom. Spears has occasionally documented his travels and skateboarding on social media.
Jayden James Federline
Since Jayden was born in September 2006, Spears often posts simultaneous birthday tributes to both of her boys online. In 2021, for example, she called them “independent little men.”
The performer’s youngest has followed in her music footsteps, showing off his piano-playing skills multiple times over the years. In 2018, Spears told told her Instagram followers he is a “lil Mozart.”
When Jayden spoke out against Spears in September 2022, the teen said their relationship can “100 percent … be fixed,” explaining, “It’s just going to take a lot of time and effort. … When she gets better, I really want to see her again.”
2022 pregnancy and miscarriage
In April 2022, Spears revealed she was “having a baby” after noticing she had gained weight on a Hawaii trip.
Asghari confirmed the news later that same day — but Spears ultimately suffered a miscarriage the following month.
“Perhaps we should have waited to announce until we were further along,” the couple wrote of the “devastating” loss in May 2022. “We will continue trying to expand our beautiful family.”
