Who is Taylor Russell? Meet Harry Styles’ rumored new girlfriend

Harry Styles appears to have moved on from ex Olivia Wilde with actress Taylor Russell.
The pair seemingly confirmed their relationship with a public outing at the opening of her play, “The Effect,” at London’s National Theatre in August 2023.
The pair were photographed smiling and laughing together, and even appeared to be holding hands, a source told Page Six.

Russell is an actress
Russell is an actress known for her work in indie films like “Waves” and “Bones and All.”
Most recently, she stepped away from the movie set and onto the stage to appear as Connie in a UK production of “The Effect.”
During the opening night celebration she was pictured cozying up to the “As It Was” crooner, who wrapped his arm around her.
After the show, Styles — who attended the play with his pal James Corden — went into Russell’s dressing Page Six was told.
“It looked like they were holding hands,” the insider explained.
“Harry stayed by Taylor’s side the whole time. He introduced her to James and was whispering to her and laughing and smiling,” the source continued.
“They are clearly trying to keep their romance under the radar and avoid being photographed together.”
Russell has also appeared in a slew of other film and TV projects, including “Escape Room,” “Lost in Space,” and “Down a Dark Hall.”
She’s Canadian
Russell hails from Vancouver’s Deep Cove, where she spent time playing on the beach, hunting for crabs and catching jellyfish as a child.
She previously revealed that, her family relocated 16 times to follow her father’s career as an actor.
“I didn’t grow up in a wealthy family,” she told ELLE in 2019.
“My parents struggled; we were on welfare. Things changed a lot, so there was always an opportunity for reinvention, to create something new.”
When she moved to America, Russell spoke about one of the “giant differences” between Canada and its southern neighbor.
“People are so forthcoming with their opinions in America, and it’s not the same in Canada,” she said in a 2019 radio interview with Rickey Smiley.
“People are more reserved … They hold their cards closer, and they’re very, very polite.”
She was first linked to Styles in July 2023
Russell was spotted in the VIP section of the “Sign of the Times” singer’s concert in Vienna, Austria in July 2023.
Footage obtained by TMZ showed the Canadian star being escorted by members of Styles’ crew to an area normally reserved for celebrities, or friends and family.
Social media was abuzz with speculation that Styles was dating the actress, particularly after they were spotted holding hands in the Austrian city the following day.
She was previously linked to Timothée Chalamet
The actress appeared in the 2022 romance horror flick “Bones and All” alongside Hollywood heartthrob Timothée Chalamet.
The Oscar nominee, who has romanced several models and A-listers, sparked dating speculation with Russell when he shared a cute snap of them posing together on Instagram.

Although the duo, who played a pair of young cannibals in the film, appeared to have great chemistry during interviews on the movie’s press tour, it seems they may have just been friends all along.
Russell is also a model, director and dancer
In addition to her work on the big screen, Russell is known for her background in ballet, her directorial work and her new gig as the global brand ambassador for Loewe.
The Canadian beauty opened the Spanish fashion house’s spring-summer 2023 runway show and has previously modeled for brands like Balenciaga, Schiaparelli and Ralph Lauren.
“I feel like a little kid being able to do all this stuff that I’m doing right now,” Russell told Harper’s Bazaar after she was lauded for her “bold” red carpet looks.
“‘Why not just run around that playground?’ is how I feel. Let’s see how it shifts and evolves.”
Russell is a ballet dancer, too, having studied the dance style her whole life.
“I’ve always loved the performing arts,” she told Coveteur in 2019.
“I love dancing. I wake up every morning and dance for 15 minutes, and it’s the only way I can get out of bed,” she continued.
“If you’re in a mood and you just move in your body, it’s the most helpful way to really be grounded and get present.”
Russell has also taken her talents behind the camera: in 2020 she co-directed a documentary short film, “The Heart Still Hums,” about Sacramento mothers grappling with addiction, generational trauma and poverty.
