Diontae Johnson tweets after trade to Panthers: 'Let's get it'

Tuesday marked the beginning of a new chapter in the career of receiver Diontae Johnson. And from the looks of his Twitter account, he can’t wait to start writing it.

As first reported by ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Carolina Panthers are set to acquire Johnson in a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The deal will send the 27-year-old pass catcher over in exchange for cornerback Donte Jackson and a pick swap for the 2024 NFL draft.

With a certified playmaker finally headed their way, Panthers fans couldn’t help but post their excitement for the move on social media. Oh, and the same went for Johnson himself:

Johnson spent all five of his pro campaigns in Pittsburgh. There, he amassed 4,363 yards and 25 touchdowns on 391 grabs while racking up a second-team All-Pro nod as a punt returner in 2019 and a Pro Bowl selection as a 1,000-yard receiver in 2021.

But now, Johnson seems ready to get some numbers up in his new digs.
