CA Restaurant Weeks 2023: Guide To The Best In California

CALIFORNIA — If you need an excuse to dine out and treat yourself, while supporting area eateries, a "Restaurant Week" fills the bill.

Typically a "slow month" in the food-service industry, January was dubbed "Restaurant Month" years ago by California tourism officials — with restaurateurs encouraged to highlight their best cuisine with price specials to lure diners.

The concept now has grown into "Restaurant Week" throughout communities statewide, with regions putting their local twists on the promo.

MARCH 16-23: Cambodian Restaurant Week. Featuring $5, $10, $15 and $20 menus at participating Cambodian restaurants.

AUG. 6-13: Burger Week: Long Beach. With $5, $10, $15, $20 & $25 one-of-a-kind burgers at participating eateries.

MARCH 5-11: OC Restaurant Week. Curated specials range from $15-$25 lunch menus, $20-$50 dinner deals, $60-$120 luxe menus, plus options for vegetarians, family meals & date nights.

JUNE 2-11: Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week. Eateries in nine desert cities will roll out 10 days of breakfast, brunch, lunch and/or dinner specials.

JAN. 22-28: Pasadena Cheeseburger Week. Celebrate Lionel Sternberger, the culinary genius who was the first to put cheese to hamburger in Pasadena in 1924. Restaurant specials abound!
