Armed, Suicidal Person Leads To Lockdowns In Huntington Beach: Police
The individual surrendered after city hall, the police station and Huntington Beach High School were locked down Monday morning.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — An armed and potentially suicidal person in Huntington Beach surrendered to officials Monday morning, following lockdowns of city hall, the police station and Huntington Beach High School, according to authorities.
"The individual has surrendered and was detained without incident," the Huntington Police Department said shortly before 11:30 a.m. "City hall and the HBPD Station lockdowns have been lifted."
The high school lockdown was lifted at about 10 a.m., police said.

Earlier in the morning, officials reported they were "monitoring a situation at (the) Civic Center involving a potentially armed suicidal individual."
"Our crisis negotiators are in communication with the individual," police said at the time, adding that the person was "isolated to an area."
