Kiddie Academy Plans To School SJ Community On Best Of Child Care

The national child care organization will throw a festive grand opening party on April 13 at 10 a.m.

SAN JOSE, CA -- Kiddie Academy, a nationally recognized provider of comprehensive educational child care programs, announced Tuesday the opening of its Almaden Valley location to serve the San Jose community.

The new academy is located at 16607 Almaden Expressway in San Jose.

"At Kiddie Academy, our goal is to embrace every experience as a teachable moment and an invaluable opportunity for young children to learn," said Sonalika Clark, director of Kiddie Academy of Almaden Valley.

The Almaden Valley location will have the capacity to serve 140 children from age 6 weeks to 6 years, taking a ‘whole child’ approach that balances academics, character development and social skills in a nurturing setting. Kiddie Academy of Almaden Valley will have hired 40 people in the community.

To celebrate the opening of the new learning center, Kiddie Academy of Almaden Valley will be hosting a free Family Fun Day, in addition to a ribbon cutting ceremony, on April 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will feature a bounce house, bubble making, face painting, a balloon artist, arts and crafts, along with refreshments and a surprise visit from special guest Curious George. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m. the same morning and will be attended by San Jose City Council Member Johnny Khamis.

Kiddie Academy’s motto is ‘Community Begins Here’, because being a part of the community also means being engaged in the community. This new KiddieAcademy will offer special events open to the entire community, which include StoryTime LIVE! featuring Curious George and Pinkalicious, STEM Adventures, Music & More, Children’s Dance Party and Parent’s Nights Out.

Kiddie Academy of Almaden Valley has programs for infants, toddlers, two, three, and four-year-olds currently. The approach follows a teacher-guided, child-led philosophy with an age-appropriate curriculum where children learn as they interact and play naturally during their day.
