Injured Hiker Rescued At Lake Chabot

CASTRO VALLEY, CA — The Alameda County Fire Department rescued an injured hiker from Lake Chabot Regional Park on June 20.

The 30-year-old woman had broken her ankle and could not walk out of the rugged area where the accident occurred. She was brought out on a gurney.

Crews from Engines 25 and 26 received assistance from the East Bay Regional Parks District Fire Department, the Oakland Fire Department, and the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office.

An update on the victim's condition is not available.
