ONTARIO, California&nbsp;– Rev those engines and polish the chrome. Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion returns to Ontario, CA Friday and Saturday, September 20 and 21, 2024. A family event reminiscent of the “Sunday Drive,” Route 66 Cruisin’ Reunion is the ultimate celebration of the historic Route 66 cross-country highway. 
Fond memories of Deuce Coupes, speedy Cobras, and “Mustang Sally”are relived on picturesque Euclid Avenue, a four-lane boulevard with a park-sized grass median, which intersects with Route 66 at Foothill Blvd. This is where cruisin’ is the event, and classic vehicles provide a constant flow of fond memories and coveted dream cars.
The event includes two nights of evening concerts, hours of cruisin’ and over 900 classic cars from the first mass-produced automobile - the Model T - to hot rods of the 1980’s. Registration is now open for all 4-wheeled or more vehicles up to vintage 1988. Awards for “Best of Show” and “Best in Class” are announced Saturday evening of the event.

Pomnyun Sunim, a humanitarian aid expert, peace activist, and environmentalist, has been engaged in dialogue with the public for decades sharing the Dharma with people from various religious and cultural backgrounds. His unique approach to tackling life’s challenges, grounded in the original teachings of the Buddha, offers clear and easily accessible insights. Get ready to witness an extraordinary blend of talent, energy, and innovation that transcends the ordinary. Headlining this year’s festival, we have the Eminem-founded group D12 from Detroit, celebrating their 20-year anniversary. Joining them as co-headliners, we have the west coast powerhouse COAST CONTRA, who have been making waves on every level. From New York, we welcome the founder of Lord Mobb, the Almighty FLEE LORD. We’re also honored to have Mello Music producer APOLLO BROWNdelivering a beat set. Additionally, we have the Jamla Records duo Jericho Jackson, consisting of ELZHI and KHRYSIS. Some our other headliners include Netflix's Rhythm and Flow artist BEANZ, west coast legend RBX, and LA's ILL CAMILLE.

Ophelia’s Jump Productions will present their annual event, Espiritu Flamenco, an evening of exquisite Spanish food and virtuosic Flamenco performance on Saturday, October 5 at the Garner House at Memorial Park in Claremont.
Espiritu Flamenco is a celebration of Spanish food, music, and dance. The evening includes a delicious 3 course dinner prepared by OJP Artistic Director, Beatrice Casagrán, using her family’s recipes.
The ticket price includes a completely made from scratch 3 course dinner of Spanish pinchos &amp; tapas, Paella (Shrimp, Mussels, Chicken, Jamon Serrano &amp; Chorizo Leon, in saffron infused Bomba rice) OR for our vegetarian friends, Penne pasta with roasted mediterranean vegetables in a yummy olive oil, garlic, and herb tomato sauce, plus a delicious dessert. Served up with a glass of Sangria, wine or nonalcoholic beverage.&nbsp;There will also be a cash bar available with sangria, wine, and whisky!
This culinary deliciousness is paired with some of the best Flamenco dance and music available in the US.
About the artists: Andres Vadin was born in Habana, Cuba in 1976 and is a guitarist, composer, arranger, session, tour musician, and guitar teacher. He is a graduate of the Guillermo Tomas and Amadeo Roldan Conservatory of Music in Habana. Andres’s great passion for different music styles, is evident in his versatile musicianship. He has collaborated on several albums that have been nominated for Latin Grammy Awards. Vadin also performs with his project, the Andres Vadin Project, playing his original compositions infused with Cuban, Arabic, and Jazz influences. They have been performing at the Flamenco Arts Festival (FAF), a world-class flamenco music festival held in California. He also performs with ”Beyond Carmen” project that includes Classic Music, Opera and Ladino music in collaboration with mezzo soprano Audrey Babcock.
Lakshmi Basile began performing at the age of six with her parents’ band “The Electrocarpathians”. After performing as a flamenco dancer in California and studying classical dance at the University of California Santa Barbara, Lakshmi travelled to Spain at the age of 20 to complete her flamenco studies. She was fortunate to be quickly embraced by artists and find work in tablaos and flamenco private events alongside great artists who nicknamed her La Chimi.
Pepele Mendez has been studying different dance forms for over 15 years including time spent in Sevilla, Spain. She has studied and performed with the top performers in the Los Angeles flamenco community. For the last few years Marcela has been performing with Richard Chavez’ group at the close of the Santa Barbara Fiesta days at the El Paseo benefit show. Marcela performs regularly in southern California flamenco tablaos: Alegria, El Cid, Tapas and Caf Sevilla. Marcela feels it is an honor to be a part of the small flamenco community that transcends throughout southern California.
Briseyda Zarate is an inspired and skilled Flamenco Dancer, Choreographer &amp; Teacher based in Los Angeles, CA. She’s a Mexicana/Chicana raised in a campesino household in Delano, CA. She began studying dance and performing at the age of 5 and has dedicated the last 25 years of her life to Flamenco. Briseyda has lived, studied and performed at length in Spain and is among the few in the top-most level of those practicing this art form in the United States.
