The Concord Chamber of Commerce and Visit Concord invites you to an exciting after-hours mixer to launch this year's Taco Trail Challenge!
Come and enjoy a festive evening as we celebrate the start of the Taco Trail Challenge. Last year's fan-favorite taqueria, <a href="https://www.visitconcordca.com/directory/puesto/" data-kmt="1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Puesto</a>, will serve delicious burritos and their signature beer brewed in-house. Visit Concord will also be serving refreshing margaritas in their office.
This is a great opportunity to network with fellow Chamber members and local businesses while enjoying some of Concord's best flavors. After the event, you'll have just enough time to head over to the <a href="https://www.visitconcordca.com/events/music-market/" data-kmt="1" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Music &amp; Market series</a> for a special Taylor Swift tribute performance!

We Are Collecting Clothes- Men's, women's, and children's clothes, coats, shoes, scarves, handbags, wallets, fashion accessories, ties, belts, backpacks, etc.
Household Textiles- Bedding, comforters, blankets, sheets, towels, linen, tablecloths, curtains, pillows, stuffed animals, etc.
Cooking- Bakeware, pots and pans, cookware, cutlery, cutting boards, cooking tools, gadgets, and small appliances
Other- Dishes, glassware, decorative home products, bedding and bath, luggage, rugs, picture frames, crystal, silver, and framed art.
Donors should bag clothes and textiles and bring household items in boxes.

We Friends of Concord Creeks are SO excited about our next creek cleanup, coming up Saturday, September 14th, from 10am till noon at Hillcrest Community Park. The 100-foot-long “spot” we’re adopting is next this creek, so obviously it’s time to give the creek some TLC and get the trash outta there! This is a kid-friendly event. We’ll provide “pickers” and trash bags—please bring water and wear gloves if you’ve got them. Look for the FCC canopy south of the parking lot. Jamal and Courtney have found love and passion in helping others change their lives through fitness! For them it is not just about physical health. Fitness helps with mental and emotional health as well. HIIT classes in particular help with mental clarity, and relieving stress. HIIT is great for needing a workout that is shorter sessions with being fast paced, high calorie burning, building muscles while still preserving them. Aside from the physical benefits, HIIT is good for your heart, boosting your metabolism, and increasing your stamina. Jamal and Courtney have programmed their classes specifically to target all muscle groups, increase cardio activity to help with stamina and incorporate balance. They love what they do and promote their mottos of “as long as you’re moving, you’re doing great”, and “it is not about when or where you start, just do something for YOU!”
