Culver City Police Ask Public's Help To Find Shooting Suspect

Culver City police are searching for a suspect who shot a man in June.

CULVER CITY, CA — Police are asking the public's help to identify a suspect who shot a man in Culver City, releasing images of the suspect's car Thursday.

The shooting happened June 10 at about 11:20 p.m. in the area of Washington Boulevard and Hargis Street, according to police.

The victim was walking when the suspect approached him, tried to steal his cell phone, then shot him, police said. A good Samaritan flagged down a Los Angeles Fire Department crew driving nearby and the victim was taken to a hospital.

The suspect ran away after firing the gun, and officers believe they have identified a white newer model Chevy Impala, with a non-operational right headlamp and damage on the right side of its hood, as a possible suspect vehicle.

Police describe the suspect as a male, Black, wearing a black hoodie and a mask.
