Culver City Police Search For Suspects In Armed Robbery At Mall

Culver City police are asking the public to find two suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Westfield Culver City parking lot.

CULVER CITY, CA — Police are asking the public to help identify two suspects in an armed robbery at Westfield Culver City this week.

The armed robbery happened in the parking lot about 7:40 p.m. Wednesday at 6000 Sepulveda Boulevard, according to Culver City Police Department.

The victim was sitting in his parked vehicle in the parking lot when a white sedan stopped behind him, preventing the victim from leaving the parking space, police said.

A suspect walked up to the victim's window and pointed a gun at him, then demanded he give up his wallet, police said.

The victim was afraid for his safety and gave his wallet to the suspect, who then got back into the passenger seat of the white sedan and fled east on Slauson Avenue.

The victim then followed the white sedan onto the 90 Freeway and saw the suspect lean out of the passenger window, pointing his gun at him, police said.

The victim then exited the freeway and reported the crime at CCPD, police said. No shots were fired at the victim.

The suspect was described as a 20-year-old black man wearing a gray or white hoodie. The other suspect, the driver, was unknown. No other details were released. No further vehicle description was provided.
