Coming Soon: Tesla Test Drives, Wine and Cheese In Beautiful Healdsburg

The Best Western Dry Creek Inn in Healdsburg will celebrate its new electric vehicle chargers with the ultimate green luxury driving experience -- test drives of Teslas!

On Friday, June 5, guests and community members can test drive the Model S Tesla from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., followed by a reception featuring local Sonoma wines and artisan cheeses. The test drive and reception are complimentary and open to the public.

The Best Western Dry Creek Inn installed three electric vehicle-charging units last month to meet the growing demand from guests and the community for stations to plug in their electric vehicles. The Chargepoint units are compatible with all electric vehicles and are available to guests and the public.

The stations will also be made available for people in the community who use electric cars to get around town.

“We put them in both as a convenience to our guests, as well as benefit to the community,” said Dry Creek Inn President and General Manager Aaron Krug, who also lives in Windsor. “We wanted to do our part and make it easier for people visiting Sonoma Wine Country to take trips in their electric vehicles.”

TheBest Western Dry Creek Inn charging stations are opposite the hotel lobby. The cost is $2 per hour for the first three hours and $5 for every hour after that.

The charging stations are the latest in green improvements to the hotel. Earlier this year, the hotel installed low-flow toilets, and in 2014 the Best Western Dry Creek Inn upgraded to the energy and water efficient Ozone Laundry Systems.
