Hollywood Woman Killed With Shotgun Blast

A 31-year-old woman was fatally wounded in Hollywood by a man with a shotgun, police said today.

The shooting happened at McCadden Place and Sunset Boulevard at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, said Officer Liliana Preciado of Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations.

“The suspect walked up and fired one round with a shotgun then entered a parked car and left the scene,” Preciado said. He was described as a man of between 30 and 40.

The woman was walking with her boyfriend to get food at the time of the shooting, according to ABC7. The boyfriend was not shot. Police said the couple lived near the shooting scene.

An investigation is underway, Preciado said.
