"Celebrate our country’s Independence Day with Orinda’s annual parade, sponsored by The Orinda Association. It’s a full day of events culminating with a concert in the park.
"It begins with the raising of our country’s flag at 7:55 a.m. in front of the Orinda Community Center, 28 Orinda Way. Breakfast burritos will be served starting 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Library Plaza.
"At 8 a.m., it’s Fun Run for a Reason, a two or five-mile walk/run supporting the Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood Foundation. (https:/sudc.org/wesley).
"The parade begins at 10 a.m. in Orinda’s Theatre District and continues under the freeway to Orinda’s Village District, culminating at the Orinda Community Center.
"Favorite bands have returned to march in the parade including St. Gabriel’s Celestial Brass Band, MJ Brass Boppers and the Orinda All-Volunteer Marching Band. The popular stilt walkers will also be on hand.
"A concert in the Community Center Park featuring classic rock songs of the late 60’s through the 90’s from TinMan Music. There will also be multiple food trucks, as well as, two beer booths: One hosted by the Orinda Rotary programs and the other featuring Czech beer hosted by the Orinda Tabor Sister City Foundation.
"All families, schools, clubs and other organizations are encouraged to march in the parade. Complete information and an application can be found at https://orindaassociation.org/4th-of-july-parade. Deadline for parade entries is June 28.
